Step 2: Scroll over to left and click on “Videos”.
Step 3: Under the video Settings, move your cursor over to the right and click “Off.” The videos won’t run automatically on your desktop anymore. This method was tried on Google Chrome. The same works true for Firefox. However, safari users might be out of luck now.
And if you’re using Facebook on your iPhone or Android device, unfortunately there’s no way to disable it from playing when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, however you can still disable it from playing when you’are not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: Go to Settings and click on the Facebook option.
Step 2: go to “Settings” underneath the Facebook icon.
Step 3: Turn on “Auto-Play on Wi-Fi only.” The videos will only play when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
